This Winter, The Bentway’s Skate Trail under the Gardiner Express Way will be transformed by a new installation inspired by àdìrẹ, the rich Yoruba textile tradition originating in southwestern Nigeria, that serves as a living form of cultural expression, storytelling, and communication.

This commission is a significant next step for Ikang to test out spatial strategies that invite participation, strengthen belonging and support collective identity within a high profile winter context.
